Hi! I'm Galahad, an instrument-rated commercial pilot, flight instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI) and FAA Safety Team Representative. My passion for aviation for aviation began with an orientation flight in high school with the Civil Air Patrol (read about it here!). I've been hooked ever since.
As an independent instructor, I provide a personalized, high-quality flight training experience whether you're just starting your aviation journey or moving on to your next certificate. We'll sit down to discuss your goals and learning style to ensure your success.

Instructing has been incredibly rewarding. Mentoring a student and see their progression from zero aviation knowledge to mastering their first solo is an experience like no other. Being there for those first time experiences never gets old. It's a privilege's to be part of their journey and celebrate each milestone with them.
Be Eligible (14 CFR § 61.83, 61.103):
be at least 16 to solo
17 years old to be eligible to obtain a Private Pilot License
able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
Contact me for guidance on how to obtain your FAA Medical Certificate. We'll work together to secure your Student Pilot Certificate, basic supplies and study materials.
It typically takes 3 to 6 months to obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL). A lot of it depends on how often you fly a week. Ideally you want to fly 2-3 times a week.
A Private Pilot License requires a minimum of 40 hours. (14 CFR § 61.109(a))
The FAA averages that most people realistically need 75 hours.
